MILWAUKEE – Two-year-old Jinessa Moser can’t wait for her grandmother to come home.
In fact, this little girl is the reason 45-year-old Lisa Moser is alive today. Earlier this week Jinessa came to the rescue, when her grandmother Lisa became seriously ill in their home. “Well her grandmother was walking up the stairs and she fell,” said Jinessa’s mother, Nina Moser.
Lisa Moser has had heart problems for years, and suddenly collapsed with chest pains while her granddaughter was watching. Little Jinessa jumped to action: The toddler ran up the stairs, and yelled for her mother. “She said, ‘Momma, momma.’ I said what? And she said, ‘Nanna, Nanna.’”
Nina called the ambulance. Her mother-in-law was rushed to the hospital, and received emergency surgery to have a new pacemaker installed. A happy ending… thanks to her granddaughter’s quick thinking.
“I was so proud of her. It’s amazing that a 2-year-old could have that instinct and know that something’s wrong,” said Lisa.
