Well, not-so-brave. Remember that Dan Kapanke, the subject of a recall petition, said his car window was smashed by protesters? Recall that he opted to cancel some appearances out of fear of the mob? Well, MJS concluded that protesters didn’t touch Kapanke’s car.
After national attention focused on threats to legislators, it turns out it was not true at all. Just like the $7.5 million in damage to the Capitol turned out to be a farce. Kapanke-the-brave was never in danger.
So a crack in a windshield scared him. Not since Ringier, when Mike Ellis charged that workers spat on his Mercedes, have we been so amused. If you have to make it up please be more careful!
RYAN’S FOLLY: I wonder if Paul Ryan has figured it out yet. I doubt it. Has he figured out that the GOP leaders let him step forward with a plan that has been described by nearly all who understand budgets as inaccurate and mean, and has been opposed by almost everyone! And check the math!
