Author: Milwaukee engine maker Briggs & Stratton will be running a free lawn care hotline through May 15.
The hotline, 866-YARD-TIPS (927-3847), starts today. On four Fridays throughout the period, including today, callers can speak directly to an expert between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. (The other Fridays are April 29, May 6 and May 13.)
On all other days, the company is promising that all calls will be returned within 24 hours by “lawn, garden and equipment experts.”
Questions can also be submitted through a website, which will host two live forums: “Choosing and using your new lawn mower” at 2 p.m. this afternoon and “Winning the war on weeds” at 2 p.m. on May 6.
Briggs & Stratton is the nation’s leading maker of engines for lawn mowers, portable generators, power washers and other outdoor equipment.
