Having failed to broker a compromise, and having overseen a buffoonish legislative, unethical debacle, and having overdosed on the false celebrity delivered by a few fleeting and forgettable seconds on Fox News, Fitzgerald reveals himself – - when the moment calls for leadership and statesmanship after the Democratic Senators returned to the Capitol – - as he demanded – - to be a little man, a walking-talking-historical asterisk who is running – - and running down – - the institution that is the Wisconsin State Senate.
And saying the Democrats are in contempt and their votes on behalf of their constituents will not be recorded- – after he brayed for three weeks that they should return?
Payback is not leadership.
Saying someone is in contempt when one’s behavior is brazenly contemptible reminds me of someone else who needed to be told he was out of order.
