Remember that Feinie is in deep, deep trouble in his re-election campaign.

Wisconsin’s Russ Feingold is expected to be the only Senate Democrat voting against the hotly debated financial reforms backed by President Barack Obama when they are put to a final vote in the coming days.

Feingold’s stand has made it more difficult for his party to muster the 60 Senate votes it needs to pass what is a huge priority for the White House……..

The plan will not pass under any circumstances because the Democrats cannot get 60 votes; they only have 59 in the Senate, remember?

Further, it is an OBAMA priority. That makes it Kryptonite for Democrat Senators (like Feingold) who are running for re-election.

So Rusty has a ‘free kick’ here. He can (and does) flap his jaw about being a “maverick.”

But only the MSM actually believes it.
